Energy Analysis & Consultation -
Frostbusters has “state
of the art” energy analysis tools to measure the performance
of your client’s home whether it is 100 years old or still
on the drawing board. We use a
blower door to
measure and locate the air leaks in the home. We use an
infrared
camera to find areas
in the home that are lacking insulation. Our
energy
analysis software provides you with the information
you need to make cost-effective energy improvements on your client’s
home. Suggested improvements are ranked by the time it takes for
the measure to pay for itself in energy savings.
You can demonstrate the wisdom of improved energy
efficiency by showing that your client’s higher mortgage payment will be more than
offset by lower utility bills.
And speaking of mortgages, Frostbusters can help home
builders qualify more potential buyers when the home qualifies for
an energy efficient mortgage (EEM)
Will your home design pass the current
energy code?
Our energy analysis software will tell you. Is your home design efficient
enough to receive an
Energy Star Rating and a
$2000
tax credit? If
it isn’t,
Frostbusters can help you tweak the design so that it will.
Get Heat Loss Calculations that are accurate so that
you or your sub-contractor can properly size heating and cooling
systems with confidence.
Blower door testing and air sealing - Reduce heat-loss
in the winter and heat-gain in the summer by having Frostbusters
locate and seal the leaks in your client’s home. Reducing
air infiltration is usually one of the quickest energy paybacks.
Before and After blower door tests help us measure our progress
and predict the savings that your client will realize.
If you have Frostbusters train your work crews
to
perform air sealing and minor insulating tasks in the course of their
carpentry/electrical/plumbing/etc. work, then the home will be much
more efficient when it is completed.
Frostbusters can provide insulation quality control
by scanning your client’s home with our infrared camera to determine if any
areas have been missed.
